International Adjunct Professor Program 2025–2028

Universitas Logistik dan Bisnis Internasional (ULBI) membuka kesempatan bagi akademisi, praktisi, dan profesional internasional untuk bergabung dalam program International Adjunct Professor periode 2025–2028 . Program ini dirancang untuk memperkaya pengalaman belajar mahasiswa melalui perspektif global, memperkuat kolaborasi akademik internasional, serta meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di bidang logistik, bisnis, dan studi internasional.

Tentang Program Ini

Program International Adjunct Professor ULBI merupakan inisiatif strategis untuk menghadirkan keahlian internasional ke dalam proses pembelajaran dan penelitian. Profesor tamu dari berbagai negara akan berkontribusi dalam:

  • Mengampu mata kuliah di program studi pilihan (D3/D4/Sarjana/Pascasarjana).
  • Berpartisipasi dalam penelitian kolaboratif dengan fakultas ULBI.
    Memberikan seminar, workshop, atau pelatihan bertaraf internasional.
    Membangun jejaring akademik dan industri global.

Program ini berlangsung selama 3 tahun (2025–2028) dengan skema fleksibel, baik secara daring, luring, atau hybrid, sesuai kebutuhan dan lokasi profesor.

Tujuan Program

  1. Meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui transfer pengetahuan dan pengalaman internasional.
  2. Memperluas jejaring akademik dan industri global ULBI.
  3. Mendorong inovasi dan riset multidisiplin yang relevan dengan tren global di bidang logistik dan bisnis.
  4. Mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja global .

Adjunct Professor

Professor Caroline Chan, University of Newcastle, Australia

Professor Caroline Chan, University of Newcastle, Australia

Professor Caroline Chan is an accomplished academic leader and digital business scholar with a distinguished career across leading Australian universities. She currently serves as Professor of Digital Business and Strategic Leader for Global Future Initiatives at the University of Newcastle, Australia, where she is entrusted with driving the university’s international engagement strategy, with a strong emphasis on partnerships in Indonesia and Vietnam. Previously, she was Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Partnerships) at the same institution.

Professor Chan is also an Adjunct Professor (Research) at Monash University, a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society (ACS), and an Industry Fellow (Skills Futures) with the Australia–Indonesia Centre (AIC), reflecting her strong commitment to bridging academia, industry, and cross-national collaboration. From 2010 to 2020, she held the roles of Dean and Head of School, School of Business IT and Logistics, and Professor of E-Business and Supply Chain Management at RMIT University, Australia, where she played a pivotal role in shaping education and research in business information systems and logistics. She has been involved in various research projects many of them involving international partners.

Her academic background is equally distinguished: she earned a PhD in Information Systems from Deakin University, Australia, a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from RMIT University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from Petra University, Indonesia.

Michael Wang, Ph.D - Kingston University, UK

Michael Wang Ph.D is a Course Director for MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management at Department of Management, Kingston University London, UK. He obtained my first degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Management at the University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand and a PhD degree from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. Over the past years, Michael has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising research students and conducting research projects in several universities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates. His current main research areas are supply chain management, sustainable operations, innovation management, sustainability, technologies, supply chain risk management, freight transport and international logistics.

Hanin Haifa, Ph.D, CSCA - Birzeit University, Palestine

Dr. Hanin Haifa is a senior professional with over 15 years of experience in Operations Management, ICT and Academia. She is currently an Assistant professor, Faculty of Business and Economics, Birzeit University, Palestine. Hanin holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, and she is an international certified trainer in supply chain management; Her diverse knowledge and hands-on expertise span the Education and Operations fields, including Supply chain management, IT Infrastructure, Management Information Systems (MIS), Project Management, Training, Capacity Building, and Program Design. Throughout her career, Hanin has held multiple managerial roles, demonstrating a remarkable ability to manage departments, develop and implement strategies policies, and procedures, lead teams as well as managing and monitoring multi-million dollar projects.

Mansur Maturidi Arief, Ph.D - Stanford University, USA

Dr. Mansur Maturidi Arief is a Research Scientist at the Stanford Intelligent Systems Laboratory (SISL) and Stanford Mineral-X, Stanford University, USA. He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, an M.S.E. from the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Department of Industrial Engineering at ITS Surabaya.

His research focuses on validation and simulation techniques using optimization models for testing AI modules in intelligent transportation systems and robotics, such as autonomous vehicles and drones. In addition to his research activities, he serves as a guest editor for international journals and as a program committee member at various prestigious conferences. Dr. Arief is also active as a guest lecturer at numerous institutions and global events. He was honored with the Outstanding Indonesian Diaspora 2024 award from the Indonesian Consulate General in San Francisco and the Cyber-Physical Systems Rising Stars award from Link Lab, University of Virginia, for his contributions to intelligent systems and robotics.

Muhammad Rizki Oktavian, Ph.D - Purdue University, USA

Muhammad Rizki Oktavian is a research scholar at Purdue University, United States, specializing in the implementation of machine learning and artificial intelligence on nuclear energy. He earned his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University, a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada. With a strong focus on AI-driven simulations, Rizki has authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers, presenting his research at prestigious international conferences. He holds a Certification of Artificial Intelligence Consultant (CAIC) from the United States Artificial Intelligence Institute, solidifying his expertise in AI applications. As a co-founder of Mindstem.id, he is committed to advancing AI-driven solutions in STEM education in Indonesia. Rizki's work integrates advanced machine learning techniques to optimize operations, improve simulation accuracy, and drive innovation in clean energy.

Siti Norida Wahab, Ph.D - Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia

Siti Norida Wahab is an Assistant Professor in the Operations Management program at the Faculty of Business and Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Puncak Alam. She brings nearly 20 years of professional experience spanning both industry and academia. Her extensive career includes serving in managerial roles within multinational logistics companies as well as holding key positions in prominent private universities. Her primary research interests focus on the sustainable adoption of practices within logistics and supply chain management.. She has successfully managed national and international research grants and has disseminated her findings through publications in high-impact journals, conference proceedings, books, and book chapters. Furthermore, she has guided numerous PhD and MSc candidates through their research endeavors. Her achievements in research and innovation have been recognized through multiple awards, including platinum, diamond, gold, silver, and bronze medals at various innovation competitions. In addition to her academic contributions, she actively serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences. Kamrul Ahsan, Ph.D - RMIT University, Australia

Kamrul Ahsan, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management, at RMIT University with a strong record in research, teaching, HDR supervision, and academic leadership. Since 2003, he has taught supply chain, project, and operations management internationally and has experience in program administration, curriculum development, and course coordination. He received the 2024 Teaching Excellence Award (AISSC, RMIT). His research focuses on sustainability, circular supply chains, digital strategy, procurement, and supply chain skills. He has published in reputed journals such as: International Journal of Project Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Environmental Management. Chaozhe Jiang, Ph.D Southwest Jiaotong University, China

Chaozhe Jiang is a highly accomplished academic with a Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University and an M.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He currently serves as a Doctoral Supervisor at Southwest Jiaotong University and holds the positions of Professor and Dean of the School of International Education at the Polytechnic University of SNG (PUS). In addition, Dr. Jiang is a Chair Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Thailand Pacific Institute of Management Science (PIMS), a Visiting Professor at South Korea SSIST (Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies) and the North America Regional Editor of Supply Chain and Sustainability Research (SCSR). His extensive research interests include Transportation Systems Analysis and Modeling, Human-machine Coupling Dynamics, Systems Dynamics and Supply Chain Finance, Traffic Safety and Emergency Management, Transportation and Logistics, as well as Big Data and AI Application, Business Operational Management, Project Management. He has Over 150 academic papers, with more than 60 papers indexed by SCI in top international journals, authored more than 10 books, and Led and participated in over 50 research projects.

Peter Shi, Ph.D - Macquarie University, Australia

Peter Shi is a faculty member of Macquarie Business School at Macquarie University, and he serves as the Deputy Course Director and Head of Supply Chain Management, Master of Commerce. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and Chairman of CILT-A NSW Chapter. He received a scholar of ‘Tianjin Distinguished Professor’. He has published over 100 journal articles, including over 70 ABDC: A/A* and ABS: 3/4 papers and served as an Associate Editor of Business Strategy and the Environment and Area Editor for Computers and Industrial Engineering. In addition, he is an Editorial Board Member for several leading OSCM journals, such as IJOPM, TRE, JPSM, IJPDLM and IJLM. He is the Co-Chair for the 2023 20th ANZAM Operation, Supply Chain & Service Management Conference, the co-programme chair for the 2020 ICOSCM International Conference in Sydney, and the session chair for the 2024 CIE51 International Conference and 2020 & 2021 INFORMS annual meetings.

Dr. Amulya Gurtu - Texas A&M University, USA

Dr. Amulya Gurtu is a distinguished academic and industry leader with over 35 years of experience, currently serving as the Department Head and Professor of Maritime Business Administration at Texas A&M University. His career spans roles at the University of Kansas and the University of Wisconsin, where he led curriculum development, accreditation, and student enrollment initiatives. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering (Supply Chain Management) from Toronto Metropolitan University, an MBA from Ivey Business School, and an M.Tech from NIT Bhopal. With extensive research in supply chain management and sustainability, he has published widely and edited academic books. His corporate background includes leadership positions at Vale Inco Ltd., MDS Inc., and Eicher Limited. A recipient of multiple academic and professional awards, Dr. Gurtu is also a certified project management and operations expert. Prof. (Dr.) Ruchi Gupta - University of Delhi, India

Prof. Ruchi Gupta is a Full Professor at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi, with over two decades of teaching and research experience. A PhD in Commerce with a specialization in marketing, she is also certified in entrepreneurship (MIT), social media marketing (Boston University), and leadership (IIM Indore). Her research interests include digital marketing, advertising, consumer behavior, and sustainability, with publications in reputed journals such as Journal of Cleaner Production, Marketing Intelligence & Planning, and International Journal of Information Management Data Insights, among others. Her work is indexed in the WHO COVID-19 repository. She has chaired sessions at prominent conferences in Oxford (UK), Slovenia, France, and India.
