From Sea to Table: Indonesia Fish Supply Chain Experience

Global Supply Chain Summer Camp

This immersive summer camp offers a focused, practice-oriented exploration of Indonesia’s fish supply chain, from capture and aquaculture through processing, distribution, and retail. Designed for professionals, university students, faculty members, and researchers, the program blends field visits, focus group discussions, and expert seminars to connect theory with real-world operations across one of the world’s most dynamic seafood sectors.

Visiting Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Nizam Zachman (Jakarta) is essential for understanding Indonesia’s commercial fisheries infrastructure, cold‑chain logistics, and stakeholder networks. It offers direct access to the country’s major fishing port facilities, regulatory offices, and processing hubs, as well as unique opportunities for applied research and industry collaboration in Jakarta’s seafood sector.

The focus group discussion will be at Universitas Logistik & Bisnis Internasional in Bandung (ULBI), 130 km from Jakarta. ULBI is a specialist institution in logistics and supply‑chain education, making it an ideal forum for technical dialogue on seafood traceability, cold‑chain design, and last‑mile distribution. Located in Bandung, the atmosphere offers a unique blend of scenery and culture.
